Long Beach Rescue Mission
What is it? Long Beach Rescue Mission (LBRM) has served the disadvantaged and homeless of downtown Long Beach since 1972. LBRM is composed of two facilities: a men’s shelter, the “Samaritan House” and a women’s/children’s shelter, known as the “Lydia House”. The ministry offers healing and hope by loving each individual and equipping them to be reconciled to God, self, family & society.
Where is it? LBRM is located at 1430 Pacific Avenue in Long Beach.
How can I get involved? A Cornerstone team makes and serves dinner twice a month at the Lydia house and provides crafts and recreation for all attendees. We also provide funding and assistance for specific projects, service needs and ministry support at the Samaritan House.
