Sex, Gender, and the LGBTQIA Community: What Does the Bible Really Say?
ABOUT THE CLASS:
The goal of this class is to communicate a proper discourse on the topics of sex, gender, and LGBTQIA relationships as portrayed in Scripture. It also seeks to address misguided understandings and related, current issues that entangle the church to produce healthy conversations that lead to a refined understanding of the culture through the lens of the Gospel.
MEET YOUR FACILITATOR:
Pastor Simon Viss serves as the Youth Pastor at Cornerstone Church. He received an MA in Theology from Talbot Seminary in 2020. Simon is passionate about leading people in discipleship and an understanding of the gospel message revealed in Scripture. This includes tackling topics such as sex and gender where it is important that the church should stand on the authority of Scripture regardless of cultural demands. Simon and his lovely wife, Monica, live at home with their baby daughter and niece and have been married since June 2017. They love to travel, drink coffee, and lead as a family in youth ministry.
