2022 Christmas Shoebox Drive Update

“Behold, I Bring You Good News of Great Joy That Will be for All people” – Luke 2:10

Thank you Cornerstone Family for making this year’s Christmas shoebox drive a success once more! Thanks to your generosity, we delivered 1,325 shoeboxes to Samaritan’s Purse (774) and to New Missions, Haiti (551). Each shoebox is a tangible way to demonstrate God’s love to children in need around the world and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This year we were especially blessed to host a Christmas Shoebox packing event for our students and young families. Over 75 people came out on a Sunday afternoon to pack boxes, write personal letters to kids and pray that these gifts bear God-sized fruit. Thanks to all who joined us, and especially to Kari Medina and our lead volunteers who helped organize the outreach effort, Sherry Lee, Linda Walton and Debbie Poppen! Over the 10 years that we have participated in this shoebox outreach, we continue to have an amazing team of volunteers that support the ministry. Led by Sherry, Linda and Debbie, nearly 20 other men and women give their time and energy to faithfully serve. Recently, Sherry said:

“What a precious blessing it is to participate in a small way in carrying out Jesus’ Great Commission. As Pastor Jerry has said so many times, we will never know this side of Heaven how many children and their family members met their Savior and became truly saved for all eternity thanks to a Christmas shoebox!”

For all those who participated in the 2022 Christmas shoebox drive, thank you for your generosity and faithfulness. We invite you to pray for the children who will be receiving these shoeboxes, that their hearts would be open to receiving the “Good News of Great Joy”!
